There are days when you forget what happiness looks like.
On those days, I hope you read this and imagine a dog,
fluffy furry dog, running to you. Ears flapping, tongue out, tail wagging and legs in midair, jumping, jogging with every might in his body to come to you.
Remember, this is exactly what happiness looks like,
and you know that.

This painting is simple and complex at the same time. Every time I look at it,
I find myself focusing on different parts - how they're so uniquely independent but come together to create a loud abstract on a minimal subject. This painting exudes positivity. It emphasizes on how being you, that one of a kind you - embracing as atypical as you may be, as messy, as eccentric... ultimately translates to being that much happier.
"It means no worries"

To describe the process in one word - challenging.
I'm not very skilled at portraits but felt like giving it a shot in 2020.
The entire process took over 2 weeks. In the beginning, I looked like an alien and almost gave up.
After about 100 tweaks and retweaks, feedback from family and friends, this was the outcome,
and I have to say I love it!

Her waves are unconventional.
some days they BOUNCE OFF HER BACK THE WAY WATER BOUNCES OFF ROCKS. some days they are knotted and messy like crashing currents.
some days they flow like
soft ripples across a lake.
they change the way her feelings do.
but there is something important they have in common;
she IS AT PEACE KNOWING THEY ARE HERS, AND they'll always calm down at the end of the day.
